A Day at the Races

By February 26, 2019 April 1st, 2020 No Comments

Everyone is welcome to join us when we harness the excitement of standardbred racing at Flamboro Downs on Thursday, March 28.

We have been lucky enough to have the kind folks at Flamboro Downs name a harness race after Sensity that evening. Special thanks to community outreach coordinator Tammey McEneny, who has been instrumental in organizing this event for our group.

We’ll sit down to dinner together at the Pavillon Restaurant at 5 p.m., followed by an evening of watching harness racing beginning at 6:30 p.m. Post time is 6:35 p.m.

After our sponsored race we will make our way down to the winner’s circle to present the winning driver and horse with their prize. What a great experience for the people that we support with Intervenor Services. Come cheer on this #ProudMoment. This should be an excellent evening and we look forward to having Sensity staff, families, board members and other stakeholders join us.

In addition to harness racing, Flamboro Downs features electronic table game devices and over 800 slot machines operated by Elements Casino Flamboro.

Flamboro Downs is located on Highway 5 near the town of Dundas.

If you wish to attend please contact activity coordinator, Jay Vandervlist at activity@sensity.ca by March 21.
