music therapy

Music Therapy

Sensity offers weekly music therapy sessions for people who are deafblind, both in individual and group settings. Music therapy improves the general mood of participants and encourages socialization through active and passive participation. Our regular sessions are led by an accredited neurological music therapist.

Pet Therapy

Pet Therapy

Pet therapy allows individuals who are deafblind to meet and interact with dogs and volunteers certified with Therapeutic Paws of Canada. Sessions are held twice a month. Interacting with an animal can release endorphins to produce a calming effect, which can help reduce stress, improve self-esteem, social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
