Covid-19 Update

By June 17, 2020 No Comments

Dear Families,

As you know by now, Doug Ford announced last week that family visits will resume for those people living in long-term care, retirement or congregate group settings. In his communication he had indicated that these visit can begin as early as June 18.

I know that you are anxious to visit with your loved one, however there are many precautions and protocols that Sensity must abide by before this can happen. It is for this reason that we ask for your patience as we work through this process and can ensure a safe and healthy visit for everyone.

Sensity will begin scheduled visits on Wednesday, June 24 and will continue offering them each week Monday to Saturday between the hours of 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Each family may schedule 2 visits per week, with up to 2 visitors. You may schedule a time slot of between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. As per Ministry guidelines, the visits must take place outdoors.

It is important to note that all visitors will be required to have had a COVID-19 test within the last 14 days. You must show proof that it was a negative test.

In order to accommodate requests for visits and to ensure the safety of all, we require that you contact Lily Crawford lcrawford@sensity.ca to schedule your visits 5 business days prior to the dates you wish to visit.

In the next couple of days I will be sending out to you additional information that outlines in detail the protocols and expectations for visitors.

Thank you for your understanding and the sacrifices you have made to ensure that the people in our services and our employees have and will remain COVID-19 free.

Kindest Regards,

Cathy Proll

Chief Executive Officer
