Intervenor Jaime Jacques is off on leave but she is still thinking about her peers and wanting to do her part to help during the pandemic.
But instead of having their backs, you could say Jaime has their ears.
She made 126 ear saver headbands that intervenors can wear to make wearing a mask more comfortable. The colourful headbands have button to hold the loops from the masks.
“I'm not usually a sewer but I had the supplies and a sewing machine so figured I could use my daughter’s nap times to help up my colleagues and show my gratitude by making them headbands to give them relief from the damage caused by wearing masks a whole shift,” Jaime said in an email.
A big thank you to Jaime for her time and the donation.
The ear savers were distributed to programs along with others made by 11-year-old Woodstock resident Alex Gardiner using his 3-D printer.
