Sensity Secures Student for Summer in Sudbury

By April 29, 2019 May 1st, 2020 No Comments

Sensity was successful in securing a Canada Summer Jobs grant to hire a student intervenor for our supported independent living program in Sudbury this summer.

Thank you to Sudbury MP Paul Lefebvre for sharing the good news with us.

“I personally want to take this opportunity to thank you for your dedication to creating employment opportunities for young people in Sudbury. The summer jobs program is a tremendous opportunity to give work experience to energetic, enthusiastic students, and to keep our economy growing. This summer, 250 students will find employment through this partnership,” Lefevbre said in a letter to Sensity.

Canada Summer Jobs is part of the Government of Canada’s Youth Employment Strategy (YES). Each year, the Government invests more than $330 million in the YES to help young Canadians get the information and develop the job skills, abilities and experience they need to get good-quality jobs.

Lefebvre also invited Sensity to participate in a job fair at the Parkside Older Adult Centre in Sudbury on April 28. Thank you to intervenor services coordinator Julie Mackey for representing us at the event.
