This course is a professional development opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge in strategies that build trust, foster communication, and create meaningful experiences for individuals who are deafblind.

If you are an employee with Sensity and interested in enrolling in this course, please contact the Training Department directly at Training@Sensity.ca.

Learn how to pace interactions, use residual senses, establish routines, and apply concept expansion and experiential learning. You’ll also explore environmental management and ways to use samples, role models, and feedback to foster success. Each module blends theory with application to help you confidently implement these techniques.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Apply strategies and tools for supporting individuals who are deafblind and accurately use terminology to communicate and document these practices
  • Locate resources related to these methods and techniques

Registration Deadline: January 23rd, 2026 at 1:00PM

Course Start Date: January 28th, 2026

Course End Date: March 25th, 2026

Course Fee: $280.00

Note: Deafblindness & The Role of the Intervenor is a mandatory prerequisite for the Methods & Techniques course offered by Sensity. You must complete Deafblindness & The Role of the Intervenor before enrolling in this course. If you have not taken Deafblindness & the Role of the Intervenor and would like to be notified about the next offering contact training@sensity.ca .
