Sensory Sunday (Dynamic Earth Version)
May 3 | 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
In partnership with Science North…
This May, we’re excited to join Science North at Dynamic Earth for a special Sensory Sunday, where our organization will be on site to educate the public about deafblindness through interactive learning and experience‑based activities.
As part of the day, visitors will have the opportunity to take part in a deafblindness simulation activity designed to build understanding, empathy, and awareness. Guided by our team, participants will learn about the diverse ways people who are deafblind access information, communicate, and navigate the world. The activity emphasizes respect, dignity, and the importance of accessibility and support.
Sensory Sunday offers a calmer, more inclusive environment overall, with adjustments such as reduced noise and crowding where possible. This event welcomes individuals who are deafblind, as well as families, intervenors, support persons, and members of the public who are interested in learning more.
Join us for a meaningful day of discovery—exploring science while deepening understanding of deafblindness and inclusive communities.
Please note: This event takes place at Science North’s Dynamic Earth and is not hosted by Sensity. Regular admission applies, and all entry fees are set by Science North. A valid ticket or membership is required to participate.
