Course Description:
Learn how to plan meaningful programs and activities that enhance quality of life. This course covers strategies for overcoming barriers, planning formats and guidelines, and creating community opportunities. You’ll also explore the personal impact of planning, the value of teamwork, and how thoughtful approaches foster independence and success.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand core principles of activity planning
- Apply person-centered planning using PATH and SMART goals
- Recognize the importance of community inclusion and lifelong learning
- Explain how impact, influence, bias, and risk affect individuals who are deafblind
Note: Deafblindness & The Role of the Intervenor is a mandatory prerequisite for the Role of the Intervenor in Activity Planning course offered by Sensity. You must complete Deafblindness & The Role of the Intervenor before enrolling in the Role of the Intervenor in Activity Planning course.
