About this Course: Dive into the world of deafblindness and discover the critical role of the intervenor in supporting individual with dual sensory loss. This 8-module course with weekly deadlines is delivered on Brightspace and offers a comprehensive understanding of how to support and enhance the lives of people who are deafblind.

Note: Deafblindness & The Role of the Intervenor is a pre-requisite course for all other professional development courses Sensity offers.

Learning Outcome:

A deeper understanding of the nature and diversity of deafblindness

  • Analyze the role of sensory systems in processing information
  • Recognize the impacts of deafblindness on individuals and families
  • Identify the philosophy and key aspects of Intervenor Services
