Children’s Intervenor Services Funding Program (CISF) is Live Once Again: Supporting Children with Deafblindness and Their Families
We are excited to announce that Sensity’s Children’s Intervenor Services (CISF) program is live once again! This important program is designed to assist children who are deafblind in participating in their communities, with the support of Intervenor services, while also offering assistance to their families.
If you’re looking for more information or wish to apply, the form and guidelines are now available on our website. Visit here to complete your application.
What is the CISF Program?
Sensity’s CISF program is intended to help children with deafblindness be involved in their communities through the support of Intervenor services. In addition, the program provides funding for family or caregivers to access training opportunities related to deafblindness and to assist with the costs of assessments, consultations, or services needed to support your child. The funding can also help with expenses related to the Intervenor’s services.
Why is this Program Important?
Parenting a child with unique needs can be challenging. As a parent of a child with deafblindness, balancing the needs of all your children while ensuring that your child has the support they need can be difficult. The CISF program helps ease some of the financial burdens by providing essential resources for both the child and the family.
One of the parents shared their experience with us:
“As a parent of a child with unique abilities, I understand that balancing attention among siblings can sometimes be challenging. This funding has given our son the chance to engage in activities he loves, providing him with joy and enrichment while allowing me to spend meaningful time with his siblings.” — Parent
